    Day 1

    Arrival

    ARRIVAL ·SLOW LUXURY
    2:00 PM

Arrive Malé. A host meets you at the gate — cold towel, fresh coconut water, and a smile that says you're already on island time.

    2:45 PM

Seaplane transfer — 30 minutes over water that shifts from jade to sapphire. Look down. You'll see reef shadows and sandbars the shape of crescent moons.

    3:30 PM

Arrive at the resort. Greeted on the jetty with garlands and chilled champagne.

    4:00 PM

Check in at overwater villa — private deck, glass-floor panels, infinity pool flush with the lagoon. The silence is immediate.

    ✦ JOURNI TIP

Ask for an overwater villa on the eastern side — the sunrise from your water slide is worth waking up for.

    5:00 PM

First swim. Step off your deck into water so clear it doesn't look real. The reef begins twenty metres out.

    6:30 PM

Sundowners on the deck. The sky turns amber, then rose, then deep violet. No sound but water.

    8:00 PM

Welcome dinner at the resort's signature restaurant — a six-course tasting menu with Indian Ocean seafood, torchlit, over the water.

    Day 2

    Reef & Restoration

    ACTIVE ·SERENE
    6:30 AM

Sunrise from the deck. Coffee appears silently — your butler learns your rhythm quickly.

    7:30 AM

Breakfast on the deck — tropical fruit, eggs however you want them, fresh juice in colours you can't name.

    9:00 AM

Sunrise yoga on the beach — a private session on the sand. The instructor adjusts the flow to your breath.

    10:30 AM

Guided snorkelling at the house reef — coral gardens in electric colour, blacktip reef sharks gliding below, green turtles rising for air.

    ✦ JOURNI TIP

Go before 8am. The reef sharks are most active at dawn and the water is glassier.

    12:30 PM

Rinse off. Float in the villa pool. Read a chapter of something you've been meaning to finish.

    1:00 PM

Lunch at the barefoot beach grill — grilled lobster, green papaya salad, toes in the sand.

    3:00 PM

Nothing. This is deliberate. A hammock, the sound of the lagoon, and two hours with no plan at all.

    4:30 PM

Spa treatment — 90-minute deep tissue massage in an overwater pavilion. The floor is glass; fish swim beneath you.

    7:00 PM

Shower. Dress light. The evening air is warm and salt-tinged.

    7:30 PM

Private sandbank dinner — a table set on a private island for two, lanterns in the sand, a personal chef grilling the day's catch. The Milky Way appears.

    Day 3

    Ocean & Stillness

    ADVENTUROUS ·MAGICAL
    7:00 AM

Morning swim before breakfast. The lagoon is glass-still at this hour.

    8:00 AM

Breakfast at the overwater restaurant — pancakes with local honey, smoked fish, and a view that stretches to the horizon.

    10:00 AM

Private dolphin cruise — spinner dolphins in pods of fifty, leaping in the morning light. The boat captain knows where they gather.

    ✦ JOURNI TIP

Bring a light layer — it gets cool on the water after sunset even in the Maldives.

    12:00 PM

Return to the resort. Cool off in the pool.

    1:00 PM

Lunch at the Japanese-Peruvian restaurant — yellowfin tuna ceviche, miso-glazed aubergine, sake served chilled.

    3:00 PM

Afternoon at leisure — pool, hammock, villa deck. Nothing scheduled, nothing expected.

    5:00 PM

Stand-up paddleboard across the lagoon. The water is knee-deep for hundreds of metres. Baby sharks scatter beneath your board.

    6:30 PM

Sundowners at the overwater bar — signature cocktails with house-made coconut rum.

    8:00 PM

Dinner at the underwater restaurant — glass-walled, five metres below sea level. Reef fish drift past your table. The tasting menu is theatrical and precise.

    Day 4

    Deep Blue

    VILLA DAY ·DO NOTHING
    6:00 AM

Optional sunrise fishing with a local guide — traditional handline, off a dhoni. Whatever you catch, the chef will prepare for dinner.

    8:00 AM

Breakfast at the villa — butler service, everything arranged on the deck exactly as you like it.

    9:30 AM

Scuba diving excursion — manta ray cleaning station. Watch three-metre mantas glide in slow circles while cleaner wrasse work their gills. Otherworldly.

    12:00 PM

Return to the resort. Decompress in the villa pool.

    1:00 PM

Lunch at the villa — grilled prawns, coconut dal, and cold beer on the deck. Private butler service.

    3:00 PM

Couples' spa ritual — a 120-minute journey: salt scrub, coconut oil wrap, and hot stone massage. You leave feeling like a different person.

    5:30 PM

Sunset cruise on a traditional Maldivian dhoni — champagne, canapés, and the sky doing things no filter can replicate.

    8:00 PM

Farewell dinner — chef's table experience, seven-course menu with wine pairings. The chef explains each course personally. End with a Maldivian coconut dessert and a toast to the ocean.

    Day 5

    Farewell

    ISLAND HOPPING ·UNMISSABLE
    7:00 AM

Last sunrise. Watch it from the deck with your coffee. Commit the colours to memory.

    8:00 AM

Breakfast on the deck. Tropical fruit, eggs, and the sound of the reef.

    9:30 AM

Final swim in the lagoon. Float on your back. The water holds you perfectly.

    10:30 AM

Pack slowly. Your butler leaves a handwritten note and a small parcel of local spices.

    11:00 AM

Seaplane transfer to Malé. The atoll shrinks below you — a ring of turquoise in an infinite blue.

    1:00 PM

Afternoon departure. You are already planning the return.
